In February 2008, PUC successfully prosecuted the above mentioned Suit in favour of 16 (Sixteen) out of the 19 (nineteen) Defendants in the Suit. The Plaintiff had sought declaratory and injunctive reliefs praying the Court to nullify the transfer of shares in Celtel Nigeria Limited to Celtel Nigeria BV. We filed a preliminary objection praying the Court to decline jurisdiction on the ground that the Plaintiff lacks the requisite locus standi to institute the action. The Court agreed with our submissions, among others, and accordingly struck out the Suit.
